Lustwarande: Material Worlds

Location:  Park De Oude Warande, Tilgurg, Nertherlands

Dates: 11 June - 28 September 2026

The Parliament of Feathers. I’ve long been fascinated by birds, not as portraits of nature, but as vessels for myth, memory and human stories. Inspired by the bird parliaments of Persian literature, thirteen imagined birds gather here in a secret assembly, meeting only when the park belongs to them.

Each bird is a hybrid, shaped from fragments of many species, a “bird of the mind.” Together they suggest a hidden world running quietly alongside our own, offering a fleeting glimpse into a conversation we were never meant to witness.
